The finishing touches...

I love to have happy things surrounding me at all times....my office is the place where I spend the majority of my week.......so, I have filled it with lots of colors and fun things. I am a busy girl, so anytime I can stop and catch myself smiling I consider it a good day! :)

Make a bulletin board for your office to add some character and charm!

I wanted to make a bulletin board for my office.....but, I didn't want just any old boring one....I wanted one that was colorful and something that made me smile when I looked at it.......so, I added several pieces of pretty scrapbook paper, stickers and cards to this one and it turned out to be FAN-TAB-U-LOUS!!!

Recycle your old yard flags.....

I found this old frame at a thrift store for about $2. I took an old yard flag that had started to tear around the edges.....I cut the flag down to fit inside the frame and it turned into this fabulous piece of art to hang in my office! I love it!!

How to turn an old ugly bathroom into something fun and colorful!!

put some pretty pink flowers in an empty bottle....
I used a pillow case for a valance to add some color to the window!
spruce up an ugly space with flowers!

put some polka dots on the door to brighten the room up a bit!

add some decals for a splash of fun!

they bring in a nice clean look!
I used matching place mats for wall art....

This is the bathroom in my office.....before, it was just your basic bathroom......a toilet, shower and a sink. I wanted something that reflected my personality......so I gave it the Nikki touch. A striped shower curtain, a matching valance, polka dots on the door, some small decals on the wall, a flower arrangement......and boom! a new bathroom!

Now, what to do with the space missing cabinet doors....

I didn't want to use this room as a kitchen anymore......so after I took off the cabinet doors and used them as art in the hallway.....I filled the cabinet shelves with colorful storage buckets.......now, the old kitchen is a bright and cheerful stock room.

A great idea for old cabinet doors...

I took these old kitchen cabinet doors and repainted them robin's egg blue......I then took the top of three hat boxes and mounted them to the front of the doors......last of all, I added hand painted knobs to give them that special finishing touch! They turned out so Shabby!!

Another cute idea for ribbon and button storage....

I have this hanging in my office......it is a great way to keep ribbon and buttons organized for crafts, projects, wrapping, etc.

Official Shabby Chic....

Nik~Naks has several pieces from the queen of Shabby Chic...Rachel Ashwell. This is a beautiful valance.....brand new, still in the bag. If you like this, I have the comforter to match it.....also, brand new.

Some gift baskets I made from Nik~Naks...

These are some baskets I donated from Nik~Naks to a charity event for their silent auction....the black and pink one was named "Ooh La La"...
This one was called "Girlie Girl". They brought in over $200 for the event!!

I love to use jars for storage.....

I never throw away anything until I am 100% sure I can't use it for something else. I had these jars left over from candy I received at Christmas.....so I turned them into storage containers for some of my ribbon. You could use them to store buttons, beads, gift tags, and much much more!

My second home :)

This is a picture of my office....I have to be surrounded by warm, soothing and happy colors at all times. I want everything to be cute and girly.....it makes me happy! The world is a better place because of the color PINK!!!

This is new at Nik~Naks....just waiting on someone to give it a good home!

I can't say enough about the beauty of pink roses...they are a very important part of my business. Shabby Chic style embraces the feminine, whimsical, magical, soft, subtle and romantic side of life. These are the pink roses from my love, Tommy, last year for Valentines Day.
